Jazz Out of Africa
Jazz is considered an American musical style, born from the melding of European and African traditions. It has long ago expanded globally, and in her newest "Take Five" list for NPR, DUQ's Music Director Shaunna Morrison Machosky offers up five great jazz selections that rediscover the music's African roots. Check out her selections here.
